Kuantan

Was away with the family to Kuantan last weekend.
We stayed in Hyatt, Kuantan.
I think it was the best hotel in that area already.
This trip was definitely different, because i could really relax.
Honestly, there's nothing else to do in Kuantan but to relax.
Hyatt's beach was awesome, mainly due to the fact
that i could just access it through an opening by the pool.
Unlike all my Penang/ PD trip where beaches also do surround me,
the food were all so tempting that I barely got to enjoy nature.
This time however, I fully utilized mother nature.
It was 3 days of sand, beach and pool.

Oh, btw, I saw Jimmy Choo in Pyramid the other day.
I don't have the original soft copy yet, so here's the edited copy my sis did.
















I also managed to meet the Chong sisters, Vanessa and Pamela
from TARA 2. We've been a fan of theirs since day 1.

The other dog.

When we came back from Penang last month,
we found a small puppy shivering in the rain and cold,
on the patch of grass right opposite our house.
Needless to say, no cold blooded human would have left the poor thing there to die.
Honestly, I believe it would have died if not. It was so small.
So, we cleaned her up and made our home a temporary shelter for her.
It was rare, it was a white chihuahua.
We were awaiting and expecting posters of a lost dog to be up.
We soon realized that this dog was not well taken care of,
the vet said that the dogs teeth were in very bad condition.
We also realized that this dog had no voice.
It was then clear that it belonged to a breeder,
No wonder they don't even realized it was missing.
And Oh, this puppy is actually a 4-5 year old dog.
We named her Cotton.
Cotton stayed with us for about 3 weeks.
We took good care of her but she didn't have the
luxury of roaming the house at anytime like my other dog.
Once my dad's colleague agreed to take cotton, we knew it was time to let her go.
She went to a much better home.
She now sleeps with them on their bed,
although she has her own brand new bed and clothes worth more than RM300.

A little something

As promised, from the last post of about a month ago,
the " little somethings" I got from Hard Rock Penang.
In 2008, while in the states, I started a hobby.
A good but expensive one. Aunt Anna bought me a land yard.
Then i started...
Pin collecting!

The first one I got was from Hard Rock, Hollywood.

So, while visiting Hard Rock Hotel, Penang.
I got myself a couple more to add on to the collection.
It is really an expensive hobby, these cost RM45 each.




















This piece is not a limited edition, but it was the last piece available.

So, next time when you are out of ideas on what to get me...

they are worth more inthe long run as there are to date only

If my memory serves me right...2

Slept at 1am that Friday night and woke up at 5.30am the next day
for SKYTREX.
Was told to be in Delicia's at 6.30am as she was in charge of the outing.
Background info:
* Skytrex outing was meant for Taylor's college A Level's Thinking skills class trip.
* Delicia was their class teacher/organizer
* 2 students were not able to make it at the last minute,
so Winson& I were blessed with the trip
* It was kinda awkward as we both were odd/aliens/old
* My name for that day was Jiaat and Winson's was Pei Kee/Peggy/Peck Kee? LOL

SO, the tired, lack of sleep us were on our way.
Thank God for the good weather although it seems a little shaky at first.
I took the extreme challenge while Winson and Delicia
opted for Big Thrill.( not like Winson had a choice, haha)
Had fun but I would prefer it to be more challenging.
Went for lunch after that.
Rain then poured down, IT REALLY POURED.
We had to cover a distance before reaching back to the car parked in front of Taylors.
Delicia and her student were partially drenched as they had an umbrella.
Winson and I were soaked from head to toe.
The best thing was, when I entered the car drenched,
with water dripping from my hair,
Delicia said: What Happened to you?

Had class Reunion/party that night.
which ended up with car racing home.
* We pranked Justin with him speeding off and us just pretending to do so.
So, he ended up racing with ... HIMSELF. Lol, I wonder if he knew he was ditched.
* We toyed with David, giving him the illusion that he could overtake us, then speeding up to narrow in the gap when he was close.
*BTW, not my idea, I'm not that bad ok.

Woke up at 8 on Sat to try out the new Dim Sum place in Taipan.
Went for YF then replacement band practice.
Ended at 7.45 then rushed to Campfire Night 2010.

Here are some of my thoughts
* Opening act was good
*Acting was ok too, except the delayed reaction which cracked all of us up.
* Good job and 2 thumbs up to the committee and all who were involved.

Went for Yc session after.
See, my peers and seniors decided to go to Old Town.
Although upon my request, Juniors decided not to join them, and headed for murni instead.
(Due to certain/unknown reasons)
The problem was, both parties wanted me to join them.
Solution? I went to Old Town till bout 1 then headed for Murni.

Thank God my sis left earlier and took the car so I tak kena.

Finally went to Louisiana 2 weeks ago on the 16th.
Went with a couple of awesome people.
It was kinda of a farewell for Phyo,
Birthday celebration for Esther

The next day was suppose to be busy as I supposedly had 3 things on,
1. TTH's farewell with college mates.
2.Toys Story with church youth
3. Catan and monopoly deal session in Delicia's

These were running concurrently and I ended up going for...
NONE. Reasons not to be explained.

Friday the 18th was YFLT sleepover @Ed and Del's place( I think i go there too often, haha)
Had a great time learning, playing and playing.
The night started of with casual monopoly deal with Ashley and both Esther's and ended up with a free show of Eng Kok's belly at 3 in the morning.
Lets just say..
1. Eng Kok has a funny impersonation of a sheep
2. Esther Lim for ghost( which we continued to haunt her with)
3. Grace for envelope &
4. Delicia for the word underwater.

Sunday till Wed was spent in Penang.

Thursday night was tiring.
Had dinner with the family at murni USJ 9,
then rushed to YC session with Sue Vern, Pik Kuan and Di Anne in Murni SS2
(I terlalu banyak petrol it seems)
Then it was futsal at 11pm with church friends, thanks to J- Anne's persistence.
By then I already had too much juice in me,
which could have resulted in a form of puke at
any time during the game, which thankfully didn't happen
*sry Delicia and the rest for missing the Thai cooking and tasting session the same night,
you know my favourite cuisine is Thai. I'm sure the food tasted awesome, even though you used 3 bulbs of onion instead of 3 cloves. HAHAHAH

Just came back from a 3 day trip to Penang with the family.
I should update before I get lazy.















The road that my mom used to stay in..
Right beside .. Lorong Seratus Tahun.
Yes, where you get your famous curry mee..
It all originated from there.
And the commercialized one in taipan, one of the sons..
So, my mom grew up to this famous curry mee, And eventually so did I.

Anyway, I'll follow the order.

Day 1/Night1, 20/6/2010 (Sunday)

Arrived Penang Approx Before 6..
Had dinner with my uncle(Mom's bro) and family.
Seafood Restaurant somewhere.
It's been a long time since I ate..
Crabs, Scallops, fish, Deer, etc..
Didn't take any pictures as I was too busy eating.
Went back to their house to a little chit chat.

Day 2, 21/6/2010(Monday)
See, when we reached day one, it was extremely hot, and you know penang la. lagi panas.
So, I prayed, God , please give us cooling weather, I don't want sun la.
So, He gave us this instead..





























When was the last time you saw mists in Penang?
*note, this is not genting or camerons.
It rained the whole day. LOL.

I went with mom to Lorong Seratus Tahun to taste the childhood food.
The log was still sleeping and Dad had to work, so it was just us two.
Mom didn't quite like the rainy weather but I was kinda fine with it.
We then went back to pick the now awaken sister from the hotel
and then drove to pulau tikus to buy the famous kueh before heading to
Gurney Plaza as " it was raining and we couldn't go anywhere"..

Evening came and we headed to Lorong Selamat to taste the authentic Penang Food.
To my dismay, they didn't have "Sar Hor Fun"
We Ended up with..

Dinner was in Super tanker when i finally got..

We also bought " Ban Cheng Kueh", not like the typical KL ones,
but these had different feelings.

Day 3-22/6/2010(Tuesday)
Went to visit Mom's godmother..




















































We then went to prangin Mall to look
for cameras but ended up cutting our hair.
Well, i cut la, they just wash.
Hence, the new lalafied Penang Anton.



































































Dinner with cousins again then we headed for Batu Feringgi,
more specifically Hard Rock Hotel.
We went to check out the extremely expensive hotel.
Turns out, it was quite a disappointment, they didnt really renovate the previous hotel.
